- Founded by Steve & Trevor Henwood
Sybron was founded by Steve and Trevor Henwood with one used van and just 185 sq m of warehouse space. From day one, their ambition was simple: to deliver an unparalleled, personal service that genuinely exceeded customer expectations – backed by competitive pricing and practical, cost-saving solutions.
More than 23 years on, that same ethos still defines everything we do.
Today, Sybron is one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers in our sector, employing over 85 dedicated team members and supporting customers nationwide. Our success has been built on long-term relationships, consistency, and a genuine commitment to doing the right thing – for our customers, our people, and the environment.
- March 2025 - New Chapter
In March 2025, Sybron entered an exciting new phase with a management buyout (MBO) led by the existing leadership team. This transition ensures continuity, stability, and confidence for our customers, while protecting the values and culture that Steve and Trevor established from the very beginning.
The new management team has grown within the business and knows Sybron inside out.
From our SyBio and SySoft product ranges to our journey towards Net Zero, electric vehicle investment, and ongoing service improvements, Sybron is evolving - without losing what makes us different.

Our story so far
Sybron started in 2003 and remains a family-run business. We are a trusted supplier of cleaning, hygiene and disposable products. Our story has many years of history with many more to come!

Sybron secures the long term future and success of the business with a management buyout by the existing team.

Sybron commits to sustainability by partnering with Planet Mark, embarking on a mission to achieve net zero by 2050.

A significant milestone for the business, as we launch our very own range of cleaning products! SyBio launched as an eco-friendly range, alongside SyClean as a traditional chemistry based solution.

Sybron officially lists as a national distributor through the support of large multi-site contracts. We now deliver to every postcode across the UK.

We moved to a new 35,000 square foot warehouse to support our growing market presence and national expansion.

Sybron continues to see year-on-year growth, and joins the Socius Network to strengthen our supply chain and benefit from better buying power.
